WHAT WE BELIEVE
· In the Holy Bible, God’s verbally inspired Word written to mankind.
· In the Holy Trinity, one God eternally existing in three persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
· That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor (praying in our behalf).
· That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
· That one is made a new creation in Christ through the process of justification, regeneration, and a new birth. One is justified, regenerated and born again through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
· In sanctification, both instantaneous and progressive. Instantaneous sanctification is being set apart unto the Lord at salvation. Progressive sanctification is subsequent to the new birth and is applied through faith in the blood of Christ, careful study and application of God’s Word, and listening to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
· In holiness as God's standard of living for His people (this is practical Christianity explained in the section entitled Practical Commitments).
· In the fullness of the Holy Spirit (some refer to this as the baptism of the Holy Spirit). We believe in the present day operation of all the gifts of the Holy Spirit as listed in Ephesians 4, Romans 12, and 1 Corinthians 12. Ephesians 4:11 lists the ministry gifts; apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors and teachers. Romans 12 lists the maintenance gifts; prophecy, ministry (service), teaching, exhortation, giving, leading, mercy, hospitality. 1 Corinthians 12 lists the manifestation gifts; the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healings, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, different kinds of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues.
· In water baptism by immersion following repentance.
· In the observance of the Lord's Supper and washing the saints’ feet.
· In the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus first, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air, and second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
· In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the saved, and eternal punishment for the lost.
